Why We Worship

What is Worship?
At Church of Pentecost, we worship God in many ways. To some, their first experience in an Apostolic worship service can be very different from what they might be accustomed to. And by all means...feel free to join us in expressing our adoration to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

We Worship with Raised Hands:
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 1 Timothy 2:8
We Clap Our Hands & Shout:
O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. Psalm 47:1
We Play Instruments & Sing:
Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Psalm 150:3-5
We Praise Him in the Dance:
Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the  timbrel  and  harp. Psalm 149:3
We Speak in Tongues:
I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. 1 Corinthians 14:15
We  Pray For the Sick & Anoint With Oil:
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. James 5:14
We Praise Audibly:
I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1
We Pray Together:
“...They lifted up their voice to God with one accord…”  Acts 4:24
